Why didn't I receive a refund after cancelling my driving lesson?

I cancelled a prepaid driving lesson and didn't receive a refund.

Here's how credits and refunds work, and what to do next.


By default, refunds are not issued automatically. When you cancel, you'll receive lesson credits in your account. If you prefer a refund to your original payment method, you'll need to request a refund to your account, and we'll process it for you.


What happens when you cancel

  • Cancelled with 24+ hours' notice
  • Your prepaid booking is cancelled, and the value is returned to your DrivEASY account as lesson credits.
  • Prepaid lesson credits are restored instantly to your balance when you cancel 24+ hours ahead.

How to request a refund (optional)

If you'd like funds returned to your original payment method instead of credits:

  1. Sign in to your DrivEASY account and note the booking details.
  2. Contact us to request a refund to your account (include name, booking date and time, and payment method).
  3. We'll confirm by email once the refund is processed.

When credits or refunds are not refunded

  • Less than 24 hours' notice
  • Late changes are outside the cancellation policy. In some situations, we'll review on a case‑by‑case basis.
  • Review lessons and VORTS.
  • Funded lessons from third-party providers such as NDIS or DCP and other providers' credits may not show in your account. In this case, your instructor will manually keep track of this for you.
  • Reallocations or refunds may require approval from the plan manager or coordinator.

Processing times (if you request a refund)

  • Card or PayPal refunds
  • After initiation, most banks take 7-10 business days to display the funds. We'll email you confirmation when it's submitted.
  • Returned credits
  • If you choose credits, they appear immediately in your account once the cancellation is confirmed.

How to check your credit or refund

  1. Sign in to your DrivEASY account to view your credit balance and bookings.
  2. Look for our refund confirmation email if you requested a refund.
  3. Check your bank or PayPal activity after you receive our confirmation.
